So anyway, as I sit here with my coffee, Melody and Josh have busted through the gate and have made their way upstairs Aladin playing in the background and Ariana is snuggled beside me with her cute little thumb in her mouth all is right in the world.
I have a chance to sit and think about things that I need to do. And there is a lot.
- We were given notice by one of our tenants yesterday and they will be gone by July 1 which means I need to get the apartment advertised soon. We get the most luck with our sign on the lawn advertising. I don't know why I even bother putting an add in the paper anyway LOL
- We had a tenant try to break their lease for January 31st and we weren't able to get it rented by February 1st (although it's rented now) so I need to get the paperwork for what we are out photocopied and mailed to their lawyer and to the apartment. I believe they have their address forwarded so we are giving them 30 days to pay what we are out and if we don't get it we'll be taking them to court. I'm not asking for more then we are out: rent, advertising fees, hydro, gas etc. I am hoping they pay but I bet they don't. They couldn't even afford their rent when they lived with us, how on earth they thought they could afford a house, I have no idea. I don't even know how they'd get financing.
- I need new glasses. Man do I ever need new glasses! I tried hard to get laser eye-surgery last year and I don't qualify. In fact, my cornea's are so thin that I might need a transplant eventually. Wow! But in the meantime I really need new (stronger) frames. My frames are in horrible shape! DH was getting frisky last night and my lens popped out AGAIN! It's really irritating and I'm getting tired of it. The other day Josh clocked me in the face and my glasses jabbed my face and cut me near my eye and then the lens popped out. It's happening when my glasses are touched even lightly so I think it's time for new ones.
- I need to get to the Y and sign the little buggers up for swimming lessons. If we had $80 a month to spare they would already be in them. I'm thinking that with the summer being busy I think we'll wait for September. I'm hoping Lee's new pay will be enough to cover the cost.
- I have sort of started thinking about my garden and have some seeds already and I'm going to start them in two more weeks. I'm worried about a drought this year though. There wasn't much in the way of snow this year here so I think we'll be hit harder then we think with it being dry. My garden won't be big though. Just a little one. But it looks like I could go outside and mark it out now! I'm so excited!
- I need to mark on the calendar when Rib Fest and Sun Fest are. We decided that we needed to have some fun this summer and have put $100 per month away for these things. Also, as part of the kids birthday presents we are getting season passes to Storybook Garden's. And actually I just remembered that I wanted to sign the girls up for a daycamp there. It's halfdays and I know they'd have a blast. It's only $60 (per kid I assume) for the week so I need to call and get that going as well.
