I just made the call to find out more about becoming a foster relief helper person. It looks like it's a 9 week process once it gets started and I'll have to do some home tests but you know, I'm a SAHM so I don't have much else to do. I'd love to help out people who are Foster Parents so they can get a break or take other kids to doctor appointments and such. I just want to help.
My dream is to one day be a Foster Parent and I wouldn't be surprised to see me adopt in the future. I did always dream of having 6 kids. Well, I dreamed of 11 but that's pretty far out there LOL
So we'll see how this goes. But I'm hopeful that I'll pass all the tests and be able to do what my heart wants me to do which is help children.
Another thing on my list of "things I wish I could do" is to visit burn units and offer support and encouragment. I don't know if I'll ever get that one down, especially with all I do now but we'll see, and I'll keep trying to get through life with my heart fulfilled.

this foster relief program sounds great, you are a wonderful person! won't it be great when our kids are a little older and we will have more freedom to do all the things we wanted to but right now don't have the time?
