Another (weekend) bites the dust!

It was a pretty good weekend. I worked most of it, but it wasn't too bad. Work was... work. The kids were pretty good all-in-all.

On Saturday Lee was going on less then one hour of sleep because he worked overtime from Friday until Saturday but I had to work at 8:30am so when he got home he slept about 45 minutes then got up to be with the kids for the day. I got done work at 2pm and when I got home he said the new tenant (to move in March 1st) wanted the keys that day but we hadn't cleaned the apartment yet (it was on the list to do for Monday) so right after work I headed out to the apartment and got it cleaned up. Lee still hadn't slept! They came over at 4:30pm to get the keys from me and give me $300 towards March rent and they didn't leave until after 5pm then the upstairs tenant came downstairs to get their February rent receipt and let us know they have mice upstairs. Perfect. Shit. It sounds like they have it under control right now but they have a little girl and a baby on the way so Lee will need to go check out their apartment. I feel bad that this is happening and we've never had rodents before in any place we've ever been in but I know that the end of winter/beginning of spring is the time when they come out. Lee ordered pizza and wings for supper then after he went out and got my ring from the jewelers. Still going on no sleep by the way.

We went to bed at 8:30pm but the kids were up (I kid you not) 7 freaking times. First Josh, then he settled and woke again and when he was settling again he woke Mel, then Josh, then Josh, then Anna, and then Josh woke up at 5:30am and I thought I was seriously going to die! I was so tired. When they all got up at 7:30am I kicked Lee out of bed with them (11 hours was enough sleep for him) and I slept until around 8:30am I think. I got up, got dressed to go to work and headed in. I didn't even grab a coffee on the way. I was on cash all day and I mean all day. I was supposed to do a stock-pull but it was just too busy. Even though the sales weren't there which will make them think I was just lazy. Oh freaking well.

Taylor's SMTB (Step-Mom To Be) dropped her off right when I got home from work Sunday because she had an orthodontist appointment today. Lee went out after the kids went home and changed a lock on the garage door at that apartment then came home and I was already in bed since it was past 10pm and he came in and went to bed as well.

Not sure what happened between him coming home and waking up in the morning but I took Taylor to her ortho appointment and when I got home I was asking Lee about the money from the tenant and he said he'd get the money but he couldn't find his wallet! We have no CLUE where it has gone! We searched everywhere. Once the kids went for their nap he went to get his license and health card since he needs them both. His birthday is later this week so he'll need to renew our plates on the vehicles and he has a physical for his new job on Wednesday. Even if he finds it it's not biggie to get those back BUT he had about $120 in his wallet from the tenant still! It seems like the wallet is completely gone and I'm sure the $120 is as well. Which sucks. Luckily he had used $80 of the $300 the tenant gave us for grcoeries and he had leant $100 to my brother for the week. So we are only out $120 but it still sucks.

Funny enough we just found the missing health cards and birth certificates from the kids that I had lost. Lucky for us as well that I had taken out all Lee's credit cards and debit cards so he didn't have to worry about someone getting them and using them. So that's good news. And good advice not to carry them around as well. He did have his SIN number and birth certificate in it though. Shoot. Plus pictures and stuff too. But that's easily replaced.

I'm hoping we will find it soon.

Today I went out with a friend for a bit. I only brought a gift card from Walmart ($20) and $5 cash in case she wanted to stop and get a drink or something. I didn't spend anything. It really helps to not spend money when you don't have your cards or anything on you :D Plus I'm thinking about things with money a lot more. Like do I need it, do I just want it to impress someone? So it's good to think about sometimes. I got called to go in to work tonight but it turned out they didn't need me. Thank goodness! I really wanted to be home with Lee and the kids tonight. I don't get too many nights at home anymore. If I'd worked tonight I'd have put in 30 hours! That's a lot when you consider I work part-time and make part-time money LOL Oh well. We had spaghetti for supper and now Lee is off to work again. Sigh. This bites. I can't wait for him to start his new job. Anything is better then midnights.

Anyway, I've been typing for about an hour now and I'm getting tired LOL So I'll head out to bed now. G'night!
